Terms of Use
Last updated 5 November 2026
These terms cover your use of Hokm, the iPhone and iPad app made by Black Balloon. By using the app, you agree to them.
Your licence
Hokm is licensed to you through the App Store under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to that agreement. If the two ever conflict, Apple’s agreement applies.
Playing with other people
Online games use Apple’s Game Center, which is covered by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. When you play with others:
- Choose a name you’re happy for everyone at the table to see. Don’t use one that’s offensive or pretends to be someone else.
- Play fairly, and don’t use the app in ways that spoil other people’s games.
- Online games depend on everyone’s connection. If someone drops out, their seat keeps playing until they’re back, but we can’t promise every game will finish.
Played for fun
There are no bets, prizes or real money in Hokm. Please don’t use it for gambling.
Who owns what
The app’s design, artwork and code belong to Black Balloon. Hokm itself is a traditional card game, and its rules belong to everyone.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep Hokm reliable, but the app is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, Black Balloon isn’t responsible for losses that come from using it, such as a game in progress being lost.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. If the terms change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
